Warpia Wireless USB PC to TV Audio / Video Display Adapter so I’ve used and own a bunch of garmin devices and commonly am a fan (60csx regarding hiking / geocaching which is a great unit, edge 500 for cycling which is good and a nuvi which we weren’t crazy about).. in this case, there’s some things I do like about it quite definitely, and for what I would like, it works great — but I needed to clarify what My partner and i was told by Garmin around the tracking, because the web web page is very misleading i believe on the differences between the two plans (common vs. deluxe) and what tracking information is available.
I use the device for cycling making sure that when I’m out alone on longer road ride, my family can know where My business is, and if for some reason I turn off in a ditch, they will know the place I am — this can be helpful in case My partner and i change my ride route along the route (vs. when I would previously let them know and then call plainly changed, or just stick for the planned route), and also to know the place I am so they aren’t required to guess if they need to find me. I live in an area with decent AT&T insurance coverage where I ride (northern NJ) plus the GPS aspects of it are very good – I put it in my camelbak backpack also it does a great task of receiving the satellite signals and getting the cell phone signal available. The build quality can be quite good and although I haven’t must test it, it looks quite waterproof (the rubber within the power button is very good).
So for my work with, the most important feature successful – finding out where exactly My business is as needed. My wife put the android app on her behalf phone, and with my signing in, can tell exactly where My business is when she queries it (it’s not a constant update shoved to her phone, but rather when she uses the app to be able to ping the garmin unit, it reports back). I don’t really require the geofences and I don’t genuinely have any battery issues since one charge is enough for even a millennium ride. What I do like is that the web page and also the operating system app correlate the GPS location with a street address, and that address is shown also – very cool, in my case for navigation to the next address, but if this device has been your child, you would know the road address, etc). The android app successful, and it also indicates battery level, cell signal level, etc.. so for that operation, it works solidly well – enjoy it – and it does exactly what I first got it for – reassurance (and occasionally they check where My business is during a ride — kinda interesting and real-time). GPS has always already been accurate (suburbs, not city). I have set upwards a geofence around the house, so when I return from a ride, if the family isn’t really home, the service sends out a message so they know I achieved it home successfully without having to check the app – all cool. And, I have it email me and my partner on low battery, also great (My partner and i left it on from a ride, and with the email, I remembered to recharge it before the next ride). That’s why I give it 4 *’s.. working quite well plus the basic functionality and even the web page and the android app are very good (I know there was clearly updates to the site plus the unit firmware during the past few months, and those seem being for the better).
